2018 - Newsletter - Issue 6 - November/December

Dear TKSRH family
Here we stand at the end of another year. 2018 was a busy one and it definitely lived up to
our theme. We saw the ‘Power of Change’ reflected in so many areas of our school and we
are certainly seeing a great deal of growth all around.

Dear Parents

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

It has been an exciting year so far and we are looking forward to ending this term on a high note. Earlier this year, we opened the school swop-shop, built the high school waiting area and I am pleased to report that, after our successful fund raising drives, we will be taking delivery of our new school minibus early next term.

Dear Parents, Staff and Learners,

We would like to thank everyone who was so committed to making this term a success. All the school lifts, assignments, homework and tests, every little bit of extra time spent on (or next to) the sports field – all of it matters and makes an invaluable contribution to school life.

Pre-primary Outreach

Our outreach in the Pre-Primary Department for the month of November last year was a Christmas Nappy Collection.  We will be donating all the nappies to the babies at Oasis.

Thank you to all the generous parents who contributed to the collection.

Pre-primary Fun Splash Day

In term 4 last year, the Mini Fun Day in the Pre-Primary Department was a Fun SPLASH Day!  After many days of cloudy weather and rain, we were thankful for the warm sunshine.

The double waterslide was prepared with soapy bubbles as the children lined up to take turns sliding on their tummies and splashing into the pool of water at the end of the slide.  Even the teachers joined in the fun – no surprise there!  The children were also encouraged to bring along squirt guns and the teachers were their favourite targets.
