| Details: In the light of our core values of partnership between parents, church and school, we require all our families to please attend this course. Perhaps you are at the stage where you feel your family would benefit from a refresher course.
How do we raise positive kids in a negative world? How do we build bonding relationships with our children? How do we get our children to embrace our values? How do we constantly maintain and repair positive parenting? How do we develop our child's full potential? How do we teach obedience? To 'spank or not to spank'? How do we teach our children to suffer well?
This and much more is shared by Chip Ingram, from Walk Thru the Bible International in his DVD series (9 short sessions) which we can pass on as life lessons to our children. We need to make them our own. Come and listen and be inspired by Chip to turn the formidable and daunting challenge of parenting into an exciting journey through the principles and truths he teaches. We trust that this will strengthen our partnership and consolidate your parenting skills. Please diarise and book the following date. Both parents (where applicable), need to be present and attend all 9 sessions.
The 9 sessions will take place on:
Friday 20 and Saturday 21 April 2012
Times:
Friday 19:00-21:00 (arrive 18:45 for Registration) Sessions 1 and 2.
Saturday 09:00 -16:00 (arrive 08:45 to be seated by 09:00) Sessions 4 - 9 to complete the course.
Cost: R100/manual (you can share per couple or you may re-use your previous manual, if you have one).
Tea and coffee will be provided but please bring your own snacks and extra refreshments etc. On Saturday we would like you to provide your own light lunch. We will sit and enjoy fellowship together as a group.
If you require childcare, please approach Lyn van Blerk timeously and she will try and arrange for senior students to take care of your children for a babysitting fee: R50 per family for Friday night; R50 per family for the Saturday (to be able to bless the helpers)
Should you have any further queries, please contact Lyn van Blerk, Tel. 011 792 1420 or Fax No. 011 792 4539. |
